Our new patient survey – the results are in!
Our patient survey, started in the summer of 2012, monitors how we are doing against our goals of being friendly, professional and providing the best eye care possible to our patients. Because some people feel nervous or worried about having an eye examination it is important that everyone is treated with respect, understands their test results and feels comfortable asking any questions about their examination and their test results.
Patient feedback is requested at the end of your visit(s) when you are offered a survey participation card. The results are collected and independently verified by Aardvark Marketing Consultants.
In the last six months, over half the feedback cards came from people who had received a personal recommendation from a friend to visit us. Overall, the feedback received confirmed that patients were very happy with the whole experience at Monnow Eyecare and our whole team. 98% agreed that the receptionist made them feel very welcome. During the examination with the optometrist, 98% of the participants said they felt comfortable. 95% of the respondents agreed they received help and expert advice when choosing glasses or lenses. Everybody who participated agreed that all the practice staff were friendly and approachable.
One third of the participants had opted to have a new OCT scan as well as their regular eye examination and some patients had used the low vision service or PEARS emergency referral service.
Overall we were delighted to find out that 98% of the respondents said they would be very happy to recommend us to their friends and family.
There were, naturally, a few comments about how we could do even better in the future and we are giving these our attention to make sure that all our patients have the best experience possible at Monnow Eyecare in 2013.
