Our Practice
We continue to support a variety of local businesses and events to ensure that our community have access to the best services, even outside of our practice. Monnow Eyecare also pride ourselves on offering a variety of services that aim to protect and conserve our environment.
Having worked with the club for a number of years, we are proud to continue to provide sponsorship for their Senior First Team players. Our contributions help to ensure thatthose that play for our local football club have access toessential supplies such as kits, equipment and transport.
Monnow Eyecare sponsors Off Centre Theatre, a local, award-winning amateur drama society. The partnership allows the group to support its members as they generally produce three plays a year - in March, June and November.
The Usk Show has an annual average attendance of 20,000 visitors with 11 different Competition Sections, 300 Trade Stands and Stalls and Demonstrations and Attractions in the Main and Countryside Rings. Our sponsorship helps the event run smoothly and to the highest standard for all visitors and exhibitors.
SARA is a volunteer search and rescue organisation which supports the emergency services. The 200 SARA volunteers operate Inshore Lifeboats and conduct Search and Rescue operations on land and water, covering a wide area around the River Severn. Our support of their annual Golf Day helps provide access to their life-saving boats and equipment.
We continue to provide support for the annual Monmouth Regatta as Monmouth Rowing Club help to maintain this great asset for the town and local area. Our sponsorship allows the club to host anevent of high calibre and keep community rowing thriving in Monmouth.

With every purchase of new frames from our practice, patients are provided with a refillable bottle of lens cleaner that we will happily top up whenever they require us to do so.
This is part of the premium experience that we aim to deliver to everyone that attends Monnow Eyecare. Simply ask a member of the team during your visit and they will fill your bottle from our very own branded dispenser found in the center of the practice.
Monnow Eyecare offer a contact lens recycling scheme in connection with Acuvue. Simply bring your accepted waste and dispose of it in our dedicated bin, located in our practice reception area.

This scheme aims to reduce contact lens waste and ensure that your eyecare bi-products are responsibly disposed of.
We also offer systems for recycling your unwanted frames within our Monmouth practice. If you have an old pair of glasses that you no longer require or you have changed prescription, we will happily take them off your hands.
We continue to work with local charities, as well as regular contributions to Cardiff Optometry Outreach who’s students share our glasses across patients in Malawi every year.
This service ensures that frames avoid landfill as well as giving glasses asecond lease of life for a patient that may not have previously had access tosufficient eyecare.
