At Monnow Eyecare, we use MYAH particularly for myopia management, axial length monitoring and dry eye assessment, giving us detailed measurements that help guide personalised

Myopia (short-sightedness) is now being seen in more children at a younger age. Left untreated, it can progress over time and increase the risk of long-term eye health issues. The Myah Scanner helps us take a proactive approach, providing all the

Our Topcon Triton OCT Scanner allows us to look beneath the surface of your eye in exceptional detail, helping us assess, monitor and manage a wide range of eye conditions. This advanced imaging technology gives our optometrists valuable
information about your retina and optic nerve, supporting earlier detection and more informed decisions about your eye health.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses light waves to create highly detailed, cross-sectional images of the structures at the back of your eye. The scan is quick, painless and does not involve any contact with
your eye.

The Optos Scanner provides us with a high-resolution 200° image of your eye that helps us to understand the health of your retina. This is much wider than a traditional 45° image.

‍

Many eye problems can develop without you knowing, in fact, you may not even notice any change in your sight. Fortunately, sight threatening conditions such as macular degeneration,
retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough exam of the retina even before symptoms occur.

The inclusion of Optos as part of our extended eye exam provides:

• A 200° single shot view of the retina that either depicts a healthy eye or can assist in disease detection.
• The opportunity for you to view and discuss the optomap image of your eye with your doctor at the time of your exam.
• A permanent record for your file, which allows your optometrist to view your images each year to look for changes.
