HEARING CARE
Hearing Health Checks
Hearing appointments are now available at our practice in South Wales, provided by a fully-qualified audiologist.

Monitoring Your Hearing
If you think your hearing may have deteriorated, it is important to have it checked professionally as soon as possible. Our audiologists will be able to advise how you can look after your valuable sense of hearing, now and in your future.
The importance of hearing clearly is often underestimated and we’d recommend that you make a regular hearing check a part of your health- care routine, just like a sight test.

Complimentary Hearing Health Check
If you want to monitor your hearing, we offer a free-of-charge appointment with one of our hearing team members. During your appointment, we will check the general health and condition of your ears to perform a screening check to assess your hearing levels.
We only use high specification equipment throughout your appointment, and your hearing care professional will explain everything to you in detail and answer any questions you may have.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation
If you have attended one of our Hearing Health Checks and require further assessments, we also provide a more detailed and comprehensive audiometry examination to accurately identify any issues affecting your hearing.
If the audiologist suspects that you may have a condition that requires medical attention, they will advise you to see a medical specialist and assist you throughout the process.
Additional fees may apply to the following range of assessments:
- Case Study to fully understand your hearing needs and medical history.
- Video Otoscopy to examine the health of your ear canals through the ear drum.
- Tympanometry to measure eardrum movement in response to pressure changes. Assesses middle ear function.
- Pure-tone Audiometry to measure your ability to hear sounds at different pitches and volumes.
- QuickSIN to assess your word comprehension within noisy environments.
- Cognivue to screen your ability to process the world around via cognitive function.
