Ive never bought glasses from them, but I have some medical issues with my eyes and they have always been so kind and helpful.

Very professional .Great service. Great care

I came to Monnow after previously using chain optometrists, and I was very impressed by the difference in quality of service. I had a new prescription from Adib, and the practice replaced the lenses in my glasses despite the frames being from a different optometrist. The front of house staff helped me a lot with deciding on a pair of prescription sunglasses. Max was happy to help me, and friendly and professional throughout my visit.

The last few years Ive had issues with my vision which other opticians did not pick up on and my eyes worsened. I attended Monnow eye care back in 2022 and met Adib who listened to me and can certainly say has been fantastic in getting my vision sorted. Thank you for everything you have done to get me to where I am now. I certainly cannot recommend them enough.

I had a very positive first experience getting my eyes tested at Monnow Eyecare. My optician, Adib, did a very thorough job and took my concerns seriously. He even did a few extra tests and talked me through everything in detail. I had some help choosing new glasses and Katy, who dispensed them, was friendly and talked me through the choice of lenses I could have for my prescription. Overall a fantastic service and would recommend getting your eyes tested there.

Great first visit to Monnow Eyecare. Staff were welcoming and friendly and more than happy to help and answer questions. The optometrist explained everything in detail to me and answered any concerns I had. Would recommend and will be visiting again!

Great practice with a wide range of sunglasses and glasses options. Had an eye test with one of the opticians, Adib, who was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

I managed to see Helen Tilley at this practice at exceptionally short notice (within half an hour of a phone call) and was astonished by her conscientious endeavours and for her help which went beyond the call of duty!

I recently visited Monnow Eyecare for an emergency and was incredibly impressed by the prompt and efficient service I received. The staff, Max and Katy, were exceptionally helpful and made the whole experience very positive. In addition, Adib provided excellent care with a high level of professionalism and empathy. The entire experience was seamless and reassuring and I highly recommend this place for their amazing service and dedication to patient care.

I cannot shout loud enough about how wonderful this place is. Tiny and unassuming on the outside but the moment you enter the door youre met with kindness, warmth mixed with a such a high level of professionalism. Jeremy was really lovely, welcoming and helpful, Katy is a positive ball of sunshine who was so thorough in making sure I chose the right glasses for me and that they felt right and Scott is one of the first opticians Ive had that actually takes the time to explain stuff and answer any questions you might have - he was thorough, reassuring and patient without being patronising at any point(Im short sited, with an astigmatism and ongoing issues with my vision since having a concussion plus PTSD from previous appointments with a completely different chain of opticians). I would definitely recommend this place. They are a little more expensive than high street opticians but dont let this put you off. Your eyes are so important; you pay for quality over quantity. I have visited Monnows three times in the past two years, once for an injury and two for annual check-ups and the service every time has been exceptional. I have always seen Adib who carries out a thorough examination and I leave feeling very confident about my eye health. I thoroughly recommend Monnows and Adib in particular and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I attended an emergency appointment on the advice of the pharmacist as I thought my eye issue was in relation to allergies. Turns out I had a scratch (let's call it a tear), I was referred to eye casualty in Hereford who prescribed antibiotic gel and suggested day 5 follow up. I was accommodated at Monnow EyeCare quickly for both the initial and follow up appointments and received thorough investigations and excellent care. I am very grateful. I didn't realise how much I take my eyesight for granted.

I had my first eye test with Scott Cox today at Monnow eyecare. He was absolutely fantastic. A very thorough exam and Scott was very detailed and explained everything in excellent detail. I cant recommend Scott enough. Thank you very much.

Monnow Eyecare were absolutely brilliant when I sustained an eye injury recently. They saw me straight away, and were able to diagnose and offer treatment on the spot. Their expertise and excellent facilities saved me (and the NHS) a trip to A&E. Thank you!

Excellent service

Despite a bit of confusion regarding the time of my appointment, the service that I received from the Optometrist was absolutely 1st Class and simply could not be bettered. However, after travelling some distance I was wanting to use the bathroom. I was informed that due to COVID restrictions, I would have to use the one in Waitrose or the Pub next door. As desperate as I was for a wee, I was not comfortable using a bathroom where I was not a client and had to stop on the way home. I now understand that after my initial review a staff meeting took place where it was accepted that many clients travel some distance, and some are elderly. It was agreed at this staff meeting that use of the Monnow Eye Care bathroom could be used upon request. A very welcome decision. All of the staff were very apologetic, the treatment that I received was second to none and I highly recommend Monnow Eye Care. Thank you.

Realy excellent service today from Monnow Eyecare. The whole experience from before entry through to exit from the practice felt Covid safe. Emma was especially thorough with the eye tests and she demonstrated the best in customer facing skills.

While I was on holiday in South Wales I accidentally broke my glasses. Staff at Monnow Eyecare were very helpful and competent. Even though my glasses were severely damaged I was provided with a workaround which enabled me to drive home. Thank you very much.

I received absolutely top class treatment from Lisa Evans. She was so professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I used to go to an Opticians in Cardiff. No longer - its Monnow Eye Care for me, and I expect my family will follow suit.
