Max

Max joined the practice in 2022. He is a student Dispensing Optician currently studying for the Fellowship Dispensing Diploma from ABDO college and he is due to be fully qualified in 2026. Max loves helping people find a frame which suits their personality.

In addition to his clinical training, Max plays a vital role in our marketing team, contributing to building a stronger presence within the region and connecting with our community.

Optical Assistant of the Year 2025 winner - Optometry Wales Awards  

Optical Assistant of the Year winner, Max Horler, began his journey with Monnow Eyecare as a Saturday assistant while still at school. After gaining further experience in retail and later as an optical assistant in Monmouth, he returned to the practice and is now training as a dispensing optician. His award reflects his outstanding patient care, passion for learning, and the energy and professionalism he brings to the team every day.

In his spare time, he likes to travel and has recently taken up running.
