What Are Scleral Lenses?

Scleral lenses are large, rigid gas-permeable lenses designed to vault over the entire surface of the cornea, resting gently on the white of the eye (the sclera). This creates a smooth, protective surface and a tear-filled chamber between the lens and the eye – helping to correct vision and provide lasting comfort even in challenging conditions.
