We are proud to have enjoyed extraordinary success at the Optometry Wales awards, held at Portland House, Cardiff Bay, on Saturday, November 25th. Monnow Eyecare was awarded “Practice of the Year" award, and Helen Tilley, was named "Optometrist of the Year."
Since we started the practice in 2008, we have set out to offer highly personalised eyecare to the local community with the support of our hardworking, caring, and talented team. We have built a reputation for clinical excellence, introducing cutting-edge technology, and a wide variety of services including myopia control and glaucoma clinics.
Helen has combined her 30 years of eyecare experience with business management, building a strong team around her. Holding additional qualifications in Glaucoma and therapeutics, Helen is a registered independent prescriber, empowering her to monitor glaucoma patients in the community and issue NHS prescriptions directly for various eye conditions.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Helen and the team are passionate about emergency eyecare, often assisting local farmers with issues like metal fragments and working hard to ensure that the community receives top-notch eyecare services.
